I have become incredibly passionate about increasing the value of my life and every person I connect with. For me, a drastic change in nutrition, wellness and the team around me was essential to increase my longevity. Little did I know how living a healthier lifestyle, coupled with the right support, would affect my life and increase my self-worth personally and professionally.
It goes without saying, that l, like many individuals, desire to be healthy and live a productive life. Unfortunately, sometimes life brings about unexpected changes and obstacles. An illness, a job loss, or even a difficult relationship, just to name a few. Triggers that derail our goals can lead to seasons of complacency. To avoid that feeling of getting stuck in a zone that delivers unhealthy behaviors, I remind myself of a famous quote by Aristotle, it has become a personal motto. “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.”
My excellence starts with my health, so I work on it daily. When I reach for the board room door, I can place all my energy on my presentation, because I have created an outer and inner appearance that shines for all to see. We should strive to be a vivid shining example of the phenomenon that the body can overcome. I’m living proof that with a preserving mind, positive attitude and confident self-image we can create the success which forms our own real ity. The only barriers in life are the ones we create ourselves, so here’s my advice—don’t create them, and for those unforeseen circumstances, create strategies for dealing with them. Stress can be one of the biggest triggers instilled within our psyche that saps our energy as well as happiness.
Stress kills! Everyday Americans develop illnesses as a result of high stress lifestyles. Stress can also attack productivity. Stress exists everywhere. There is absolutely no way to avoid it, however, by implementing a couple of things in your life, you are more prepared to deal with what may come your way. One of the first ways to combat stress is first to identify your stressors. Once you identify the stressors, commit them to memory; even write them down, so you can create a method for eliminating or reducing them. This is the beginning to a healthier lifestyle by managing your stress and not allowing it to manage you!
Personally, it took having the right team around me to assist with my stress levels. I strongly advise all entrepreneurs to develop a solid team, one that includes a dedicated and passionate assistant that believes in your mission. That’s my secret to eliminate stress!
In the words of Michael Jordan, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win o championships.”
