NAWBO Hosts Evening of Celebration, Strength & Unity
Orlando Chapter Salutes Women-Owned Business in Central FL
Orlando FL (July 23,2021) — The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Orlando chapter is hosting an installation dinner on August 3, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the Luxmore Grande Estate. Sponsored by Luxmore Grand Estate – RW Events, Rapid Response, and Duke Energy, the event celebrates the newly installed board of directors with dinner, a panel discussion featuring community stakeholders, and updates on post-COVID impacts and resources.
This year’s theme, “Roaring Twenties’, pays tribute to the women who paved the way for equal rights in property, education, employment and business. Founded in 1975, NAWBO’s vision is to continue propelling women into economic, social, and political spheres of power.
“This is a critical time for us,” says Lena Graham-Morris, chapter president. “We are at the helm of recovery, making history, and prepared to provide essential support, strength, and resources to women entrepreneurs.”
Emcee Wendy Lynn Phillips will be joined by guest speakers Jo Newell, (Vice President, Orlando Regional Chamber); Jackie Perrault (Director, Jacksonville Women’s Business Center); and Carol Ann Logue (Director, Programs & Operations Innovation Districts & Incubation Program, University of Central Florida).
“We must lock arms to hold the front line and move the needle of economic recovery together,” says Graham.
